Registrations of BEVs in the EU increased by 11%

Registrations of battery electric vehicles (BEV) in the EU increased by 11% in Q2 of 2022, reaching a total of 233,413 units sold.
Eastern European markets have seen the greatest percentage increase in sales. Romanian BEV sales have grown at an astounding rate of (+412,4%).

Spain and France, two key markets in the region, contributed to the solid growth of BEVs, registering double-digit improvements (+22% and +18,6%).

Italy, on the other hand, suffered a significant loss (-19,6%), while Germany had a small loss (-0.5% ).

Hence, does the transition to electric mobility finally gain traction in Eastern European markets?
