European plug-in car adoption

The European Union and several national, provincial, and local governments in Europe actively support the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles. EVs had a 25,5% share in the German market in July 2022

In July 2022, battery electric vehicles (BEV) accounted for 14% of the new registrations. BEV registrations increased by 13,2% in comparison to the same month last year, with 28.815 new registrations.
