EVs had a 25,5% share in the German market in July 2022

In July 2022, battery electric vehicles (BEV) accounted for 14% of the new registrations. BEV registrations increased by 13,2% in comparison to the same month last year, with 28.815 new registrations.

23.712 Plugin Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) were registered in July 2022. A decrease of 21,4% compared to 30.154 registrations in July 2021. In July 2022, PHEVs had a 11,5% market share.

41,386 diesel-powered passenger cars were registered, a decrease of 11.3% compared to the same month last year. In July 2022, diesel cars had a 20.1% market share.

In July 2022, 74.094 passenger cars with gasoline engines were registered, a decrease of 20,5% compared to July 2021. The total market share of gasoline vehicles is 36%.
